Ron Kolhouse

With more than two decades of experience in the mortgage industry, Ron Kolhouse brings extensive knowledge of residential lending, real estate finance, and the Colorado housing market to every client he serves.  A Colorado resident since 1977, Ron has built his career around helping homebuyers and homeowners navigate what can often be a complicated mortgage process. His approach is straightforward: understand the client’s goals, evaluate the available options, and develop a financing strategy that makes sense for their individual financial situation.  Ron holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate from Schreiner University. His background in finance, combined with decades of hands-on mortgage experience, gives him a strong understanding of both the numbers behind a transaction and the real-world considerations that can affect a borrower’s financing strategy.  Throughout his career, Ron has worked with a broad range of borrowers and understands that there is no single mortgage solution that fits everyone. Whether working with a first-time homebuyer, a move-up buyer, an investor, or a homeowner exploring refinance options, he focuses on providing clear guidance, responsive communication, and a lending strategy tailored to the client’s objectives.  Ron believes the mortgage professional’s job extends beyond simply finding a loan. His goal is to help clients understand their choices, anticipate potential challenges, and make confident financial decisions throughout the home-buying or refinancing process.  As part of the Black Diamond Lending team, Ron combines the experience of a veteran mortgage professional with the flexibility and product depth of a full-service mortgage brokerage.
